On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, SriRam Digvijay Rath Yatra left for Gorakhpur with Vedic chanting and worship of SriRam Darbar today. On the occasion, Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, successor of Mani Ram Das Cantonment, Yatra coordinator Shakti Shantanand Maharishi, Union Minister Rajendra Singh Pankaj, Sharad Sharma, head of the yatra arrangement Suresh and many devotees of Rama launched the March by planting rudraksha trees and worshipping the cow in what was the capital of the god’s kingdom.
Sharad Sharma, in charge of VHP’s media outreach, said the event included an astra-pujan ritual (weapon-worship) at Karsevakpuram by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra general secretary Champat Rai under the guidance of Pandit Indra Dev Mishra, the principal of Shri Ram Veda Vidyalaya at an appropriate moment in the morning.
