একটি পরিবার এবং 450 নামকরণ

যতীন দাস পার্ক মেট্রো স্টেশনে ট্রেন ঢুকছে l এক যাত্রী জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, সহযাত্রীকে, ” আসসা এই  যতীন দাস ক্যাডা?” সহযাত্রী উত্তর দিলেন ” বাঘাযতীন হইব গিয়া” l ভাবা যায়? দুজন প্রথম সারির বিপ্লবী সম্পর্কে মানুষের এই আকাশছোয়া অজ্ঞাত মানা যায়? কিন্তু ইতিহাসে যে এরা ব্রাত্য? অবশ্য এই ভুল কেউ নেহেরু পরিবারের কোন সদস্যের ব্যাপারে করবেন না l কারণ, সারা দেশের প্রায় 450 নামাঙ্করণ একটি পরিবারের নামে l স্টেডিয়াম, পুরস্কার, কাপ, ট্রফি, রাস্তা, বন্দর, বিমানবন্দর, মেট্রো স্টেশন, IIM, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের চেয়ার কেউ ছাড় পায়নি l মুঘল সম্রাটদের নাম বাঙালীর মাথায় বসিয়ে দেবার জন্য যেমন “বাবারে হল আবার…..” কবিতা শোনানো হত, তেমনই এই নামকরণ l ” সম্ভব হলে স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের বাড়ির নামও রাজীব গান্ধীর নামে নামাঙ্কিত করে দিতে পারেন এরা l

আর এর প্রতিবাদ করলেই রাজরোষে পড়বে অঙ্গরাজ্য থেকে নেতা l সর্দার সরোবর জল প্রকল্পের নাম নেহেরু সরোবর নিয়ে বাঁধলো গুজরাটের সঙ্গে বিরোধ l দশ বছর পিছিয়ে গেল পৃথিবীর অন্যতম বৃহত্তম সেচ প্রকল্প l কিন্তু ছাড়েনি গুজ্জুভাইরা l নির্লজ্জতা এখানেই শেষ হয় নি l নেহেরু এবং ইন্দিরা নিজেদের ভারতরত্ন দেন l অথচ, নেহরুর সমান মাপের চার নেতা তথা প্যাটেল, আজাদ, বাবাসাহেব এবং নেতাজিকে ভারতরত্ন দিতে পারেননি এই বংশের তিন প্রধানমন্ত্রী l পিভি নরসিমা রাওয়ের হায়দ্রাবাদের বিমানবন্দরের নাম তড়িঘড়ি রাজীব গান্ধীর নামে নামাঙ্কিত হয়ে যায় l

নকল গান্ধী পরিবারের সবসময়ই ভয় ছিল, তাঁদের সঙ্গে কারো তুলনা না হয়ে যায় l শ্যাম বেনেগাল নেতাজির জীবনীর উপর সিনেমা করতে গিয়ে সমীক্ষা করে দেখেন দেশের একটা বড় অংশের মানুষ ভুলে গেছে নেতাজিকে l দুঃখ উনি সিনেমার নাম দেন The Forgotten Hero… যে প্যাটেল 500 ভাগে বিভক্ত ভারতকে জোড়েন, তার জন্মদিন অগুজরাটি কতজন জানেন ? ভগৎ সিংহের সঙ্গে বাকী যে দুজনের ফাঁসি হয়েছিল, তাদের নাম কতজন জানেন? কতজন জানেন সূর্যসেনের সঙ্গে আর কার ফাঁসি হয়েছিল? কলকাতার একটি বাস স্ট্যান্ডে বিনয় বদল দীনেশদের মত মহাপুরুষের ছবির নিচের ভুল নাম দেয়া বহুদিন l কিন্তু কেউ কোন প্রতিবাদ করেননা, কারণ সাধারণ মানুষ জানেনই না কে কোন জন?

গান্ধী পরিবারের সবচেয়ে বেশী এবং শেষ ভয় হয় পামুলাপুর্তি ভেঙ্কট নরসিমা রাওয়ের নাম শুনলে l আজকের আধুনিক ভারতের স্থপতি এই তেলেগু ব্রাহ্মণের সাফল্য ইতিহাস যদি স্বীকার করে নেয় তবে ইতিহাসকে একই সঙ্গে স্বীকার করতে হবে যে নেহেরু, তার কন্যা এবং তার দৈহিত্র শুধু ব্যর্থ নন, তাঁদের দেশ শাসন পদ্ধতিই ভুল ছিল l কিন্তু রাওয়ের পথ ছেড়ে বেরোনোর তার উত্তরসূরীদের পক্ষে বেরিয়ে আসা সম্ভব হয় নি l তাই তার মৃত্যুর পর নির্লজ্জ পরিবার তার মৃতদেহ দিল্লিতে সৎকার করতেও দেয় নি l

এবার এসেছে আমাদের ভুল শুধরে নেয়ার সময় l একে একে 450 টির অধিকাংশের নাম বদলে সত্যিকারের মানুষের নামে সেটি নামাঙ্কিত করতে হবে l ফুটবল খেলোয়াড়কে স্বীকৃতি দিতে হলে গোষ্ঠ পালের নামে পুরস্কার দিতে হবে, নাকি সুভাষ চক্রবর্তীর নামে? গণতন্ত্র ধীরে ধীরে সাফল্যের দিকে যাচ্ছে l 1991 পর্যন্ত সোভিয়েত ইউনিয়নের আশীর্বাদে একটি পরিবার রাজত্ব করে গেছে l গণতন্ত্রের নামে চলেছে রাজতন্ত্র l শাস্ত্রীজির মত মানুষকেও সোভিয়েত দেশে আপাঘাতে মৃত্যু বরণ করে জায়গা ছেড়ে দিতে হয়েছে নেহেরুর কন্যাকে l কিন্তু এবার রাজার ছেলে রাজা হবে না l সেই দেশকে নেতৃত্ব দেবেন, যার যোগ্যতা আছে l সঙ্গে মুছে ফেলতে হবে সোভিয়েত ইউনিয়নের আশীর্বাদে গণতন্ত্রের নামে রাজতন্ত্র চলা সাড়ে চার দশকের অন্ধকার যুগের নিশানা l খেলরত্ন সবে শুরু l এখনো বহু ভুল শুধরোতে হবে l
