Recently, a Durga Pandal organised by Dumdum Park Bharat Chakra Puja Committee was decorated with worn-out and torn slippers to depict the plight of so-called farmers’ agitation across the nation.
Netizens from West Bengal, and the minority Hindus of Bangladesh condemned the degeneracy flaunted by the Puja committee and accused them of hurting religious sentiments.
However, “woke” Firad Hakim, a minister in Mamata Banerjee’s cabinet found nothing wrong in the Puja pandal and refused to see this as an insult to Maa Durga. Will Firad Hakim practice what he preaches and dare to offer chaddar printed with worn-out footwear in Mazaars!! Will the puja committee and artist Anirban Das be felicitated with a footwear garland as nothing is wrong!!

Bhakti has been replaced with political activism in West Bengal, and the Durga Puja every year has become the victim of ignorance and mental decay of “woke” civilians.
A couple of years back, an artist of Govt. Art College, Aniket Mitra drew a sketch of Trishul on a sanitary napkin, and, earlier this year artist Sanatan Dinda has shown Maa Durga in hijab and wrote Maa Aaschhen-meaning Mother is coming.
People of west Bengal seems to have lost their judgemental abilities and fails to understand that their political enthusiasm should take a back seat during the days meant for the adulation to the Almighty Maa Durga.

এটা আর গোপন নয় যে কলকাতা হিন্দু মূর্তির কুপ্রচারের জন্য ব্যবহৃত নতুন আস্তানা হয়ে উঠেছে। সম্প্রতি, দম দম পার্ক ভারত চক্র পূজা কমিটি আয়োজিত একটি দুর্গা প্যান্ডেল সারা দেশে তথাকথিত কৃষকদের আন্দোলনের দুর্দশা দেখানোর জন্য ছেঁড়া চপ্পল দিয়ে সাজানো হয়েছিল।
পশ্চিমবঙ্গের নেটিজেনরা এবং বাংলাদেশের সংখ্যালঘু হিন্দুরা পূজা কমিটির দেখানো পরিণতির নিন্দা জানিয়েছেন এবং তাদের ধর্মীয় অনুভূতিতে আঘাত দেওয়ার অভিযোগ এনেছেন।
যাইহোক, মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের মন্ত্রিপরিষদের মন্ত্রী ফিরাদ হাকিম, “জেগে ওঠো”, পুজো প্যান্ডেলে কোনও ভুল খুঁজে পাননি এবং এটিকে মা দুর্গার অপমান হিসাবে দেখতে অস্বীকার করেন। ফিরাদ হাকিম কি তিনি যা প্রচার করেন তা অনুশীলন করবে এবং মাজারে পুরানো জুতা সহ মুদ্রিত চাদর দেওয়ার সাহস করবে !! পুজো কমিটি এবং শিল্পী অনির্বাণ দাস কি জুতার মালা পরে সম্মানিত হবেন কারণ কিছু ভুল নেই !!
পশ্চিমবঙ্গে ভক্তির স্থান হয়েছে রাজনৈতিক সক্রিয়তা, এবং প্রতিবছর দুর্গাপূজা “জাগ্রত” নাগরিকদের অজ্ঞতা এবং মানসিক অবক্ষয়ের শিকার হয়ে থাকে।
কয়েক বছর আগে, সরকারের একজন শিল্পী। আর্ট কলেজ, অনিকেত মিত্র স্যানিটারি ন্যাপকিনে ত্রিশুলের একটি স্কেচ তৈরি করেছিলেন এবং এই বছরের শুরুর দিকে শিল্পী সনাতন দিন্দা হিজাবে মা দুর্গাকে চিত্রিত করেছিলেন এবং লিখেছিলেন – মা আসছেন।
পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মানুষ মনে হয় তাদের রায় হারিয়ে ফেলেছে এবং বুঝতে ব্যর্থ হয়েছে যে সর্বশক্তিমান মা দুর্গার পূজার দিনগুলিতে তাদের রাজনৈতিক উগ্রতা ফিরিয়ে নেওয়া উচিত।
